Why the Husqvarna 580BTS Is Still the Best Value in Commercial Backpack Blowers — Even With the New 590 on the Market

Why the Husqvarna 580BTS Is Still the Best Value in Commercial Backpack Blowers — Even With the New 590 on the Market

In the world of commercial backpack blowers, Husqvarna continues to dominate — and while the new 590 may now hold the title as the most powerful blower in the lineup, the Husqvarna 580BTS remains the best value and the top workhorse for serious landscapers.

With a perfect balance of power, durability, comfort, and price, the 580BTS hits a sweet spot that no competitor has been able to match. It delivers real commercial performance without the $900+ price tag found on some of the newer ultra-premium units.

At $649.95, the 580BTS stands alone as the best commercial blower for the money in 2025 — and that’s exactly why it continues to be one of Husqvarna’s best-selling backpack blowers year after year.

580BTS vs. 590: What’s the Difference?

Husqvarna recently released the 590, the new “big brother” to the 580BTS with increased output and updated ergonomics.

But here’s the key takeaway:

The Husqvarna 580BTS still delivers OVER 90% of the performance for a much better price.

If you're a landscaper or a large-property owner looking for the strongest machine without jumping to the $850–$900 range, the 580BTS remains the smart pick.

Power That Still Competes With Anything on the Market

Even with the 590 now available, the 75.6cc X-Torq® engine on the 580BTS continues to crush the competition.

You still get:

  • Up to 206 MPH air speed

  • Over 1,000 CFM of pushing power

  • Unmatched debris-clearing force at this price point

Wet leaves? Pine needles stuck in the lawn? Gravel? Sticks? Storm debris?

The 580BTS bulldozes all of it.

A Commercial Powerhouse at a Price That Makes Sense

Most commercial blowers with this level of output cost $799–$999.

The 580BTS at $649.95 is a rare find in the market:

✔ Commercial grade

✔ Heavy-duty build

✔ Best-in-class power

✔ Affordable price tag

It gives commercial crews the ability to run premium equipment without breaking the budget — and homeowners the chance to own a truly professional tool without overspending.

Built Like a Tank: Designed for Daily Professional Use

Just because the 580BTS isn’t the flagship anymore doesn’t mean it isn’t one of the toughest units on the market.

Husqvarna engineered it for:

  • Long days on the job

  • High-hour seasons

  • Dusty, demanding environments

  • Extreme weather cleanup

The two-stage filtration system and magnesium fan housing help the engine last longer and run cleaner — a must for crews putting 30–40 hours a week on their blowers.

Comfort First: Because Power Means Nothing If You Can’t Wear It

Even with massive output, the 580BTS stays surprisingly comfortable thanks to:

  • Padded harness and wide straps

  • Balanced frame and weight distribution

  • Vibration reduction system

  • Cruise control for steady airflow

For landscapers who wear a blower all day, this matters just as much as raw power.

Year-Round Performance — Not Just a Fall Cleanup Machine

The 580BTS shines in every season:

  • Spring: Gravel cleanup, dethatching debris, bed prep

  • Summer: Grass clippings, driveway cleanup, dust removal

  • Fall: Heavy leaf piles and wet leaf cleanup

  • Winter: Clears light snow from walkways, decks, and equipment

It’s a 12-month workhorse, not a seasonal tool.

Why the 580BTS Is Still the Best-Selling Commercial Blower for 2025

Even with newer models on the market, professionals continue choosing the 580BTS because:

✔ You get near-flagship power

✔ At a price hundreds less than the 590

✔ With proven durability and parts availability

✔ Backed by Husqvarna’s legendary dealer support

✔ Trusted by commercial crews for more than a decade

This is a buy-it-once-and-be-done kind of machine.

Final Verdict: The Best Commercial Blower at $649.95 — No Contest

If you want the absolute top-of-the-line, the 590 is the new king.

But if you want the best commercial blower value in the entire industry, the Husqvarna 580BTS is still the champion.

Powerful. Durable. Comfortable. And priced perfectly at $649.95.

Whether you’re a landscaping pro or a demanding homeowner, the 580BTS delivers professional-grade results without the premium price tag.
